2008 Driving-tests and tie-down

Our customer Langro of Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen together with Dekra had the transport-units checked once again. As we set a high value on the safety of our commodities and of all traffic participants, we provided an Actros together with a driver for the driving-tests.  The test took the whole day.

The pallets were loaded with containers of the Langro company, but filled with water for safety purposes.

First the pallets were loaded in a way that left a gap between each two pallets. Thereafter, at a speed of 50kmph, the Actros performed a full brake and the containers had to be stabilized by the stretch-sheet (taping). Hereupon numerous further brake tests followed in our own transport-yard. In the end, all packagings and stretchings were impressed or slightly ripped, but it was proven that all packagings and sheets met all requirements entirely. Two cooperative policemen of the technical traffic-surveillance in Stuttgart, who wanted to watch such an experiment "live", were present. This way we also want to thank all participants, especially the visitors who dynamically supported us.
